I used traditional film cameras and methods, because I like the feel of the grain after the film undergoes exposure. I then used digital image manipulation software to perform the second stage of processing. I'm currently focusing my photography work on nature, people, and cities, parallels between people, and reciprocal relationships-I find this to be an interesting topic that touches upon the intersection of society, people, cities and other topics, letting me explore the artistic value of these images and their contribution to society.
Division after Transitions
These two pictures show division after transitions. Shot in the mountains of the Yanqing suburb of Beijing, the images are compositions of natural elements and human figures. The photographer used different exposures when shooting and combined the images later in post-processing to form a complete picture. What the pictures mainly express is self-indulgence for a surreal, yogic state—the departure from the noise of the city and clamor and crowds of people. A human, disturbed by external forces and having gone through struggles, changed into a state of serenity and tranquility.
