“How often...”这个句式放在句首用于询问频率，这时，后面的句子倒装。下面我们来看看这个句式在日常生活中的用法吧：

1．A: How often do I have to take this medicine？这个药多久吃一次？

B: Three times a day. Half an hour after each meal．一天三次，每餐饭后半小时服用。

2．A: Do you know how often the number 13 runs？请问，13路公交车多久一班？

B: About 15 minutes. 15分钟左右。

3．A: We need to get a check-up regularly．我们应该定期做健康检查。

B: That's true. But how often？没错。多久一次呢？

4．A: How often he comes here from another city to see her!他经常从另一个城市来这儿看她啊！

“how often”除了放在句首引句，还可以放在句中的其他位置。另外，还可以单独成句，如对话例句三中所示。

温馨提示：此外，“how often”放在句首还可以作感叹之用。后面的句子不用倒装，一般句尾用感叹号。如例句四；还如，“How often she goes to a hairdresser! （她时不时地往美容院跑啊！）”
