国家会展中心（上海） / National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai)
国家会展中心（上海）地处虹桥商务区核心区西部，于2011年12月26日正式开工建设。2014年10月19日，国家会展中心（上海）试运营的首个展览——“中国国际汽车商品交易”开幕。2016年12月1日，国家会展中心（上海）商业广场正式开业，标志着国家会展中心（上海）实现全面运营。2018年11月5日至10日，首届中国国际进口博览会在国家会展中心（上海）举办。
国家会展中心（上海）的主体建筑以伸展柔美的幸运草为造型，使宏大的建筑体量体现叶片般轻盈秀美、自然蓬勃的标志性。据说这4片叶子分别代表爱、健康、光荣和财富。建筑外立面柱廊不仅起到结构拉索作用，而且寓意欣欣向荣的幸运草叶茎。位于幸运草中央的商业中心和中央广场呈一核四叶状向四周辐射，形成空间序列的高潮。建筑布局中正致和，向世人宣扬以人为本、和谐共享的理念，传递中国和平崛起、祈福世界安康的愿景，成为上海市新的地标性建筑。
国家会展中心（上海）总建筑面积147万平方米，其中地上建筑面积127万平方米，是目前世界上最大的建筑单体和会展综合体。由展览场馆、商业广场、办公楼宇和洲际酒店4个部分构成，以展览功能为主，通过8米标高的会展大道连成一体，人们可便捷地穿越其中。展览中心可展览面积达50万平方米，包括40万平方米的室内展厅和10万平方米的室外展场。室内展厅由13个单位面积为2.88万平方米的大展厅和3个单位面积为1万平方米的小展厅组成，能够全方位满足大中小型展会对展览面积的需求。
国家会展中心（上海）以突破性的设计和完善的功能，立足长三角，服务全中国，面向全世界，努力成为服务对外开放基本国策和“一带一路”合作倡议、服务国家商务事业发展、服务上海市国际会展之都建设的重要平台。

National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) (short for NECC) is in the west of Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District (CBD). NECC off icially started to build on December 26th, 2011. The f irst trail exhibition, namely, China International Auto Products Expo was held on October 19th, 2014. The opening of NECC Plaza on December 1st, 2016 marks the complete operation of NECC. The f irst China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held during November 5th to 10th, 2018.
The exterior layout of the NECC building draws the inspiration from a mellow and auspicious “4-leaf clover” with the Commercial Plaza acting as the central core, and the exhibition halls as the leaves. It is said that each of the 4 leaves stands for love, health, glory and fortune respectively. The columns in the South Square not only function as structural cables, but also imply thriving leaf stems of the 4-leaf clovers. Blending with many Chinese elements and design concept of symmetrical axis, it has been one of the landmark buildings in Shanghai. It delivers the vision of China’s peaceful growing-up and praying for a world with good luck.
NECC is the world’s largest single block building and exhibition complex with a total construction area of 1.47 million square meters, among which 1.27 million square meters are above the ground. It includes exhibition halls, the commercial plaza, the off ice buildings and the InterContinental Hotel. They are linked by an 8-meter-high elevated Exhibition Boulevard so that people could easily traverse inside NECC. The exhibition area has 500, 000 square meters in total, including 400,000 square meters for indoor exhibition and 100,000 square meters for outdoor exhibition. The indoor exhibition area is divided into 13 large halls, each of 28,800 square meters and 3 smaller halls, each of 10,000 square meters. They can meet the space requirements of any exhibition or event.
NECC, based in the booming Yangtze River Delta, aims to serve China and the world with its cutting-edge design and well-equipped facilities. It will continue to forge ahead to be an important platform to serve our national open-door policy, the Belt and Road Strategy and to contribute to national commerce development and the build-up of Shanghai as an international conference and exhibition center.
