The Anytime Coaching Model

The Anytime Coaching model comprises four interrelated practices: observing, inquiring, listening, and responding. At the center of the model is what the practices achieve: day-to-day performance improvement. Supporting and surrounding the four practices are four other elements: the coach’s self- and organizational awareness, a commitment to ongoing personal growth and development, increased awareness of the growing body of knowledge in neuroscience, and an attitude of mindfulness.

The model is dynamic in that the four practices are interrelated and dependent. An anytime coach interweaves observing, inquiring, listening, and responding into powerful conversations that cause day-to-day shifts in employee performance. As the anytime coach’s self-awareness and organizational awareness expand, so does his or her skill in using the four practices. The expanding knowledge of neuroscience continues to support anecdotal wisdom with fact-based findings. The anytime coach who cultivates a practice of mindfulness engages others in a calm, centered, and focused manner.

The path to Anytime Coaching is an ongoing journey, full of opportunities to continually refine skills and achieve mastery.
