Sitting near the telephone, Sandra looked worried. A wonderful concert would be held at the theatre and some pop stars would sing there. She hopes to be a singer and spends much time singing and listening to the tapes and CDs. Of course, she wouldn't lose such a chance. But it was difficult for her to get a ticket. She asked for her friends'and relativities'help, but none could do anything useful for her. A classmate told her to go to Jack whose father works in the theatre. She agreed and now she was waiting for his answer. At last the telephone rang. Jack got a more expensive one for her. The girl was very happy. She kept it with great care for four days.

On Saturday afternoon, Sandra had supper earlier and went out in beautiful clothes. The girl was proud when she saw a lot of people waiting for a ticket outside the theatre. She was pleased with her seat though it was upstairs. She could see the singers clearly there. To her worry, a young man came and sat next to her. He was tall and strong, with a flagitious（凶恶的）face. Before long after the concert started, the young man sang, following the singer on the stage. It made Sandra angry. She said, “What a nuisance（讨厌）! ”

“You mean I? ”the man asked flagitiously.“Oh, no, sir, ”the girl said in a hurry,“the singer disturbs me so that I can't appreciate your wonderful singing voice at all! ”
