In 2016，the quality of drinking water sources in Beijing met the national standard with a compliance rate of 100%.The qualified rate of municipal waterworks was 92.7%.It was 85.3% and 100% in the low and high water level period，respectively.99.5% of peripheral water and 98.8% of the secondary water supply was qualified.

According to Beijing’s food and drug safety monitoring system in 2016，163，000 samples were tested.Higher than 98.5% of food，99.9% of drugs，95.6% of medical devices，and 99.6% of cosmetics sampled was of qualification.

In 2016，Beijing health inspection and supervision agencies dispatched 190，510 officers in 95，255 enforcement activities for tobacco control regulations.5，547 restaurants and other merchants failed to obey and 5，118 of them were forced to rectify.433 administrative penalties were conducted with the fine of 1.272 million RMB.1，970 individuals were fined for smoking with an amount of 104，050 RMB.Tobacco control billboards located in transportation settings such as bus stops，buses，and subway platforms reached an audience of 75.79 million people.No-smoking signs were in presence of 93.6% of all public settings.70 clinics offered smoking cessation services.

In 2016，the total number of cigarettes sold in Beijing by wholesalers and retailers was 93.849658 billion RMB，decreased by 8.0% from 2015.
