Blue Forest, in partnership with Jessops Construction Ltd, were awarded the contract for the development of three luxurious sustainable tree houses for Center Parcs Sherwood Forest. Each of the 170m2 Center Parcs Tree Houses incorporates four double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, an open plan living space, a kitchen and even a satellite tree house entertainment pod. The tree house entertainment pod or games sanctuary can be reached via a dramatic canopy-level walkway and comes complete with a home cinema system, pool table and bar. The main tree houses include a number of exterior decks and balconies providing fantastic views of the forest. The tree houses also feature a hot tub, sauna and an outdoor dining area for guests.

The exact position of the foundations has been chosen to avoid or limit damage to the root structures of nearby trees. Every effort has been made to ensure that minimal landscaping work will be required as part of this project. Of the work that does need to be carried out, much of this will be in returning the site to its semi-natural, woodland state.

Each of the tree houses was designed and built to the highest standards and the structures achieved an'A'grade Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). In addition to this the tree houses feature a number of sustainable solutions, including, ground-source heat pumps, low-energy lighting and grey water recycling.

设计师精心选择树屋地基的精确位置，以避免或减少对邻近树木的树根造成伤害。设计师还做了一切努力，保证此项目最低限度的景观改造，对于那些确实需要进行改造的，许多都会被还原到半天然的林地状态。

每一座树屋都被按照最高标准进行建造，同时树屋结构在能源绩效证书（EPC）评选中获得A级。除此之外，树屋还体现出一些可持续应对措施，包括地源热泵系统、低能耗照明设备以及废水循环系统。
