Sunshine, sunshine(with an additional poem)——Memory about returning to Yan'an, in my flight above Yan'an…

Ye Yanbin

The sky was covered with gold…

The earth was also acting so

The silver aircraft wings were emitting golden light

The aircraft cabin was flooded by golden sunshine

Actually, this was not the Loess Plateau

This was a warehouse to store sunbeam

No wonder it produced golden millet

It looked like golden sand, like sunlight of the warmth

No wonder it produced golden soybeans

It looked like a pearl shining sweetness

No wonder the land had a golden cheer

There were mineral resource with sunlight here

Don't forget that here we have been doing something

Working is to plough the sunshine of history

Don't forget that we have been here harvesting

Harvest is to pick up the dedication from sunbeam

No wonder our skin is yellow

We take roots deeply in the Loess Plateau

Where does the sun come to the plateau to shine

Look, the sun comes from the sky

Look, the sun comes from the tableland

Yes, sunshine comes from hearts

Don't forget our primitive goal

We set sail again and again

Everyone in Yan'an is carrying a sun as a hope

The transparent verses

When thinking of you, I pick up a pen

Plateau, then you use fingertips

To itch my heart

How many warmth verses

Do you pick up

How sweet it is

Due to the plateau

Every word becomes smart

Every sentence draws a wisp of fog

With rich smell of grass

Is it writing a poem

No, it's morning

I get up from the warm Kang mat

And lean on the window frame

And look up the plateau

Ha ha, a bright poem

—writing about the plateau

It's like writing letters on the glass of the window

With finger

The shining letters are full of dew

Writing a poem? Not

From the bright letters in the glass window

I see an aunt sieving the sun with a big dustpan

On the hillside
