5 Erection

5.1 General Requirements

5.1.1 No force assembly shall be performed during pipe erection.

5.1.2 Pipe and fittings port roundness shall comply with the relevant provisions of the state standards.

5.1.3 The pipe and fitting internal shall be checked before connection to ensure that all has been cleaned up and no auxiliaries exist.The surface inspection shall also be performed and damaged parts shall be replaced or removed.

5.1.4 The pipe tie-up and lifting works shall be done in accordance with article 3.4.2 in this code when lifting.

5.1.5 Non-metallic gasket shall be used for pipe installation,which shall be neat and its size meet with the flange sealed surface,while the inner/outer diameter shall be in accordance with the following requirements:

1 If the pipe diameter is less than 125mm,gasket inside diameter tolerance shall be 2.5mm,while the outer one shall be-2.0mm;

2 If the pipe diameter is or larger than 125mm,gasket inside diameter tolerance shall be 3.5mm,while the outer one shall be-3.5mm.

5.1.6 Pipe installation shall comply with the following requirements:

1 If butt connection is applied:The straightness shall be measured from 200mm to the joint center when pipe connected(Figure 5.1.6).A deviation of 1mm should be allowed when the pipe diameter is less than 100mm;when the pipe diameter is equal to or larger than 100mm,the deviation a shall be 2mm.

2 The pipe inner wall shall be neat and tidy when pipe connected and the alignment tolerance should not exceed 10% of the wall thickness.

3 The center distance between the two ends of straight pipe shall be no less than 150mm if the pipe diameter is or larger than 150mm and it shall be no less than 50mm or less than the pipe OD if the pipe OD is less than 150mm.

5.1.7 Piping installation deviation shall comply with the requirements in Table 5.1.7.

5.1.8 Pipe connection shall not be placed inside the building(structure)wall or floor.

5.1.9 No trample on the pipeline during pipe installation would be allowed,neither do operations of which would strike pipe.

5.1.10 No mechanical or heating way shall be allowed for bending or adjusting pipeline during operation.

5.1.11 Connection parts shall be marked and recorded after pipe connection.Material which may harm the pipe components shall not be used.

5.1.12 Unless be checked and confirmed by supervision or construction company,no hidden construction work is allowed.

5.1.13 Insulation construction quality shall be consistent with the relevant requirements of the current relevant standard of the nation-GB 50126 Industrial Equipment and Pipeline Insulation Engineering Construction Standard.
