1　General Provisions

1.0.1　This Code is formulated with an aim to envisage safe operation，leading technologies，high costeffectiveness and environmental-friendliness in designing metallurgical equipment foundations of iron and steel enterprises in accordance with the technical & economic policies of China.

1.0.2　This Code is applicable tothe design of ironmaking，steelmaking and rolling mill equipment foundations of iron and steel enterprises.

1.0.3　The design of metallurgical equipment foundations of iron and steel enterprises shall comply with not only this Code，but also the requirements prescribed in other relevant national standards prevailing in China.
