6　Equipment of Continuous Casting Machine

6.1　General Requirement

6.1.1　The design of continuous caster equipment shall be in accordance with the features that the continuous caster works in the high temperature，heavy load and humidity environment for long time and shall realize the simple structure，reliable working，easy adjustment，operation and maintenance and fast replacement as well as the principle of reliability，practice，economy and advancement under the preconditions of process satisfaction.

6.1.2　The members in the high temperature area shall take the water cooling measures to prevent thermal deformation；when fixing the components，the thermal expansion shall be allowed and the conditions for thermal expansion shall be reserved.In the cold and frozen area，the antifreezing measure shall be designed for the equipment and piping.

6.1.3　The components which is located in the water spraying area and is frequently dismantled for replacement shall take the antirust measures.The water spray pipe，air inject pipe and connecting bolt shall adopt the stainless steel material.The maintenance structure and steam exhausting piping in the secondary cooling area shall adopt the material subject to corrosion resistant treatment.

6.1.4　The equipment in the high temperature area shall be easy to dismantle and installation，and its anchoring part shall adopt the connecting structure which is easy to dismantled，and the breakout protection panel shall be provided as well.

6.1.5　The piping in the high temperature area especially flexible hose shall avoid installing in the position where receives the direct radiation of hot billet.When this is unavoidable，the thermal isolation measure shall be taken.The rubber hose is not suitable to be used as water pipe and gas pipe in the high temperature area.The hydraulic media can use high temperature resistant and flame resistant media；when mineral oil is used，the firefighting measures shall be taken.
