6　Loading/Unloading Mechanization

6.1　General Requirements

6.1.1　In addition to satisfying required loading/unloading capacity，design of loading/unloading system shall optimize process flow，simplify system layout，and improve mechanization and automation levels based on the design of logistic system.

6.1.2　Selection of loading/unloading schemes and machines shall be determined through techno-economic comparison and justification considering various factors such as loading/unloading process requirements，material properties，loading/unloading capacity，rail car/truck（ship）types，natural conditions and agreements reached between the owner and the railway（road）transportation company（the port）.

6.1.3　Handling of bagged or drummed goods should be unitized and containerized.

6.1.4　Design of buildings and structures for railway loading/unloading bays shall conform to GB 146.2.
