Foreword

According to the requirements specified in the Plan for Developing Professional Standards in 2006（Document Number:〔2006〕No.1093）issued by the General Administration Office of National Development and Reform Commission，this Specification is prepared by its development team based on wide and intensive investigations and studies made，practices summarized，comments requested as well as references to international codes.

This specification comprises 16 chapters.

The main technical contents of this Specification include the principles to be followed for design of process systems，machines and control systems for powders and bulk solids loading/unloading，conveying，crushing，screening，drying，pelletizing，homogenization，blending，packaging and ash handling，and for the design of machines and control systems，and the requirements of auxiliary systems，safety and health，environmental protection and energy conservation for the material handling system in petrochemical industry.

China Petrochemical Corporation（Sinopec Group）is in charge of the administration of this Specification，Sinopec Technical Center for Material Handling Design and Engineering is responsible for its routine management，and Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Co.，Ltd.is tasked for explanation of specific technical contents.If any comments and recommendations are proposed in implementation of this Specification，please send your comments/recommendations to the routine management organization and chief development organization.
