1　Scope

This Specification defines the fundamental principles for design of process systems，machines and control systems，and the basic requirements for auxiliary systems，safety and health，environmental protection and energy conservation for the material handling system in petrochemical industry.

This Specification is applicable to the design of material handling system for new construction or extension projects in petrochemical industry.
