1　Scope

This Guideline specifies the principles for material selection for equipment and piping in units processing acid crude oils.

This Guideline is applicable to material selection for design of the major equipment and piping in critical units processing acid crude oils for grassroots,revamp and expansion projects where acid corrosion is a main concern.
