Abstract：Yuexiu District of Guangzhou City is known as“the origin of the Cantonese Culture and the core and public service center of the thousand-year-old city of commerce”.In the process of advancing the open government work，the Government of Yuexiu District has carried out explorations in practice，made innovations in exploration，and continuously expanded the breadth and depth of and achieved some results in the openness of government affairs.This book comprehensively summarizes the progresses made by the Government of Yuexiu District in the open government work and analyzes the current situation of and the existing problems in the openness of grassroots government affairs in the district from such perspectives as government service，compulsory education，food safety，credit regulation，ecological and environmental protection，emergency management，planning and natural resources，the operation of new media，and the open government practices of Beijing Street and Liurong Street.Based on the practice of Yuexiu District，the book explores some general issues in the standardization and normalization of the openness of grassroots government affairs，with a view to contributing some forward-looking，practical and innovative guidance and experiences to the advancement of openness of government affairs and law-based governance in China.
