Amazon Machine Images

Amazon Machine Images (AMI) are disk snapshots that you can use or create to avoid toil. Reusing the AWS-provided images gives you a good baseline for building custom solutions. Once those are built, you can create your own AMIs. These can be transferred to other regions and deployed alongside compute to ensure consistency across all of your instances.
