Pending articles

Pending articles is a functionality that's going to be a lot more helpful to users working on multi-author blogs. In a bigger publishing structure, there are multiple individuals responsible for different areas of the publishing process. WordPress, being a quality tool, supports such a structure by providing a way to save articles as Pending Review. In an editor-author relationship, if an editor sees a post labeled Pending Review, they know that they should have a look at it and prepare it for publication.

When working on a post, switch to the Document tab in the settings sidebar and then check the box where it says Pending Review. Next, click on the link labeled Save as Pending that is going to appear next to the Preview button. Refer to the following screenshot:

With that done, you have a shiny new article that is now pending review.
