Performance and scalability patterns

Performance and scalability go hand in hand. Performance refers to the responsiveness of a system to execute any action within a given time interval, while scalability is the ability of a system to handle increases in load without impact on performance. In this section, a couple of design patterns related to performance and scalability are described.
