A COIN WITHOUT OPENING ITS GOLDEN MOUTH——MOTHER COIN OR SAMPLE COIN？

Some collectors believe that a coin without opening its golden mouth （the square hole was called golden mouth by the authority of Qing Dynasty）must be a Diaomu, however, it is a pity that it has demonstrated in literature and in reality that sometimes coins were made directly after Diaomu in Qing Dynasty. As a consequence, collectors should be careful that a coin, which does not open its golden mouth and is beautiful, may be molded after other coins, and opinions diff er on whether it is a sample coin or a mother coin. （See below）
