Foreword

According to the requirements of Document SHUIZONGKE 〔2005〕 No.623 issued by Administration of Ministry of Water Resources and Hydropower Planning and Design,Ministry of Water Resources and the requirements of SL 1—2002 Specification for the Drafting of Technical Standards of Water Resources,this specification was revised on the basis of the previous specification SDJ 173—85 Electro-mechanical design code for hydropower plant (trial edition) and renamed Specification for Electro-mechanical Design code for Water and Hydropower Projects.

This specification comprises 7 chapters,49 sections and 396 articles,covering such technical contents as

—Design of hydraulic machinery.

—Primary electric.

—Secondary electric.

—Communication.

—Electrical&machinery (E&M) equipment arrangement and requirements for relevant specialty.

—Auxiliary facilities,etc.

This edition of specification revises the name and scope of the specification,and supplements new requirements for hydraulic machinery,primary electric,secondary electric,and communication design for pumping station and sluice,supervisory control and data acquisition,automatic fire alarm and fire-fighting control system,video surveillance system,and on-line monitoring system.

This specification replaces the previous version of SDJ 173—85.

This specification is approved by Ministry of Water Resources of the People's Republic of China.

This specification is interpreted by the General Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Planning and Design of Ministry of Water Resources.
