风老莺雏梅子黄，

春归无影忆渔郎。

隋堤折柳送行客，

词在精工不在狂。

注：

周邦彦，北宋词人，精通音律，曾任管理乐府的官员。他的词精雕细刻，自成一家。

A Seven-character Quatrain

—Rereading the ci-lyrics of Zhou Bangyan,1956

Chicks grow in the wind, plums turn yellow,

Spring unseen, memories of the young fisherman come slow.

Willow twigs on the Sui Dyke bid friends farewell,

The essence of ci lies in refinement than wild bellow.

Zhou Bangyan was a Northern-Song-dynasty poet and Yuefu officer renowned for his mastery of rhythms.His ci-lyrics were precise and refined in a manner of his own.
