1.5.1　Potential Innovation Points

Firstly，previous studies on foreign infrastructure investment mainly focus on the effect of infrastructure investment on economic growth. This research attempts to examine the location decision of foreign infrastructure investment from two aspects of investment scale and investment efficiency.

Secondly, although many scholars have studied the effect of country risk on OFDI，they have not systematically investigated the mechanism of economic risk on investment scale and efficiency. Based on the theory of foreign direct investment，agglomeration effect and resource allocation，this research establishes the impact mechanism among economic risk，investment scale and efficiency，thus enriching the research of foreign direct investment literature.

Thirdly，by using the difference-in-differences method，spatial econometric method，and stochastic frontier analysis method，this research analyzes the relationship between economic risk and the scale and efficiency of China's OFDII under the Belt and Road Initiative，and explores the role of the Belt and Road Initiative. Therefore，this research provides a relatively comprehensive study of this field.
