I have corresponded extensively with Alan and finally met Alan and his family here in UK. I have been very impressed by his knowledge and enthusiasm for the history of the BBC Monitors.

This extensive and well produced guide is a major contribution to the BBC designs right through to the LS5/9. It is complimentary to the many engineers and people who have contributed to the success of the BBC Licence Designs.

The LS5/8 were very problematical in having had to have the Polypropylene cone material problems resolved by the late Richard Ross without which a large number of BBC studios could not function.

The revival of the Rogers brand by Andy Whittle in reintroducing a number of the Rogers products, in particular the LS5/9, and particularly putting the LS3/5a back into its iconic position again.

I wish Alan every success with this publication which is a must have for the many enthusiasts worldwide for Rogers and the BBC Design Licences.

It is hoped an English version may be available one day.
