New Thinking on the Position of Macao as a Cultural Lever
Abstract: By discussing the bottle necks and the unique advantages of Macao's development during its implementation of “the Belt and Road（B&R）”initiative, the paper analyzes the paths to breakthroughs in the development of Macao's cultural industries, and proposes possible solutions to promote Macao's culture and its cultural and creative industries（CCI）from 3 aspects（material objects, organization systems, ideas and culture）. It reaches the conclusion that Macao should serve as a cultural lever for the cultural industries. And it is also suggested that overall planning and the exploitation of its relative advantages should be encouraged during specific operation, as well as multi-party interaction and the integration of eastern and western culture.
